Christine's Museum Report

During my visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I experienced many arts which included the Renaissance exhibit. The museum had many exhibits with numerous sculptures and portraits, however the Renaissance exhibit and many pieces of art that caught eye. Some art were outfits of armor that were used in medieval battles. Others were hand crafted sculptures of saints and known religious leaders.

This a sculpture of Saint Andrew. It was made of marble. It stood in the old basilica in Saint Peter's. This piece of art really caught my attention because it seemed like it stood out more then the other pieces. In addition, the artist must have had much time to create this beauty.






This is a sculpture of Saint John the Baptist. It was made of copper. This piece is also caught my attention because its show much detail of John the Baptist. Its is an awesome piece of work that replicates the he looked in his time.





This picture to the right includes bronze plates. The plate to the left is a image of Jesus' crucifixion. The plate beside the right one is a image of Jesus Christ in the temple. Both of theses images tell stories of how Jesus lived and the events the arose in his life. Though they are small, these plates attracted me because of the history that is in them.
